Some Thoughts After Stopping Tonight#

Energy Stored in a Bottle#
The energy here refers to the necessary prerequisites for me to do something every day, and each task requires a different amount of energy, some high and some low.
Of course, the factors that affect the energy level are not only the task itself, but also the environment in which the task is performed, including both internal and external factors.
And the energy is stored in a bottle, and everyone's bottle is different. Some people have a large capacity, while others have a small one. Some can't finish pouring every day, while others always reach the bottom.
When the bottle becomes empty, you won't be able to do what you want, just like when you come home from work, you go straight to bed and do something that doesn't require much thought.
But there is a way. You can borrow some energy from others or yourself through certain means, but it comes at a cost. Over time, it may cause the bottle to break.
So the best way is to carefully protect the bottle. If you want to do something, you need to prepare in advance and control it through open source and conservation.
Before you think about doing something, you need to understand that energy is stored in a bottle. Don't negate yourself just because you haven't achieved it, even machines are like this.
One thing seems to define my life#
I divide different periods of time into different lives. If we assume that during this period of time, only when it truly defines this life, it represents value and not wasted.
When I think back to my day or a certain day or a certain period of time in the past, I realize that that life seems to be defined by one thing.
And what I used to think or what everyone always says is that many, many things are needed to define that life, otherwise it is incomplete or regretful.
If that's the case, maybe we just need to cherish one thing, even if it takes a lot of time or seems a bit worse compared to others.
But it is what you truly want to do, and you give it value. It will bring more happiness than one or ten thousand things suggested by others.
So don't be anxious or worried. Be patient and focused on it. Slowly, it will become the definition of your life. Try to recall it.
Reevaluate my consumption philosophy#
Recently, I have been spending more money. With certain hints and information, I can reevaluate my own consumption philosophy.
I used to have a consumption philosophy of trying not to spend unless necessary or with sufficient reasons (such as ROI > 1).
But the "unless necessary" now is no longer the same as before. You have entered a new world, and your understanding has entered a new realm.
Although I know this, it is still difficult to clarify your true needs and calculate the corresponding ROI. The initial understanding and the surrounding environment are still entangled and confused.
The more time I spend thinking about this, the more sunk costs I have. So I decided to step back and define some coarse-grained consumption principles to help with decision-making.
Desires are more like dreams, while specific goals are reality#
Every time I see the temptations brought by the surrounding environment, it arouses my desires, and that feeling is like dreaming, as if nothing has happened.
At the same time, those desires make me become harsh and anxious about the present, and then they prompt me to escape into dreams and get lost in illusions.
Only when desires turn into specific goals will they not bring arrogance and prejudice to the present, and return to reality. Of course, you can also avoid those desires.
